Title: USAF Modern Markings
Post by: Herk on Sun 05/24/09 07:57 PM
Following is the link to the USAF Tech Order used for modern marking.  Document is 176 pages - most of the diagrams are in the back portion of the document.

Happy Searching!

Steve

That is a pretty cool document.  I almost wanna do an Aardvark or BUFF build now. Full marks - sweet link.

Here's a link to some paint diagrams from the previous issue of the T.O. It has a lot of the Vietnam-era aircraft that were deleted from the current T.O. I wish I could find a full copy of the 1960s/1970s version.

Phantom Phans take note: the T.O. 1-1-4 camouflage scheme for F-4s in the Euro I scheme has the two greens reversed in the top and side profiles.  The bottom profile is correct.  Ask me how I know, after painting three-quarters of a 1/32 scale Revell F-4E and realizing that the technical order did not match photographs.   >:(
