Mike Valdez, a former F-16 Crew Chief, goes by "Viper Enforcer" on the various forums. He is one of the two Mikes in TwoMikes resin. He's got a stong opinion, but then again that is what you want when you want an expert to describe what they think a kit's faults are.

Search Zone 5 for "Kinetic" in the Jets Forum. I got lots of hits.

Thank you Lee K. for bringing this to my attention as I was looking at the Kinetic kit.
Bill,
I have read this and am still a bit confused. Is the 1/48 Tamiya CJ kit the way to go? I have an opportunity to buy 4 Tamiya [F-16CJ]kits at 10 bucks a pop on Friday. Have never been a Viper expert - the aircraft is growing on me - guidance please.
The Tamiya 1/48 scale F-16CJ kit is the best Viper kit of them all. $10 a piece? That's a bargain!

Bueno - Gracias - Estate sale - 2nd trip on Friday - Picked up a Tamiya 1/32 F-15E with bunker buster for 25 bones on Monday........ Still shaking my head on that one - going cash heavy on Friday - will advise and share the wealth.
Based on what I read, speaking purely from a shape and accuracy standpoint, the Hasegawa F-16I Sufa is the better of the two kits. Then you need to add aftermarket weapons for the Israeli load-out if you want it. I'm betting the over-all fit is better too.
Kinetic has fixed their drooping nose problem for the most part, and it gives you all the weapons. In the end it looks like a Sufa sitting on your shelf.
I bought the Has kit with resin from Wolfpack 600 Gal wing tanks and IsraDecals Python 4 missles, and an Aries pit to augment the Has kit pit.
This is the next kit on deck after I complete the P-47 I'm currently building (see pix in Builds in Process forum).

OK - the guy I am seeing on Friday had three of the Has F-16I kits and a large amount of Israeli specific resin and decals [I remember seeing several sheets of decals with large scorpions on them] - will grab them too.
Bill - he also had several sheets of ROKAF F-15K decal sheets in 1/48 and 1/32 along with some Cutting Edge F-15I Ra'am conversions. Correct me if I am wrong - The ROK F-15K and the Israeli Ra'am are almost identical in structural appearance - Turkey feathers etc.......
Thanks,
Mike
Yes, they look pretty much the same, you can use the ROK kit as a base to build one. I'm collecting parts to convert the Revell F-15E kit to the Ra'am. I'd be very interested in the resin conversion in 1/48 if one is available at the estate sale.
Just to mention also, the Tamyia F-16CJ in 1/48 is supposed to be the best F-16 kit ever!! if you can get them for $10 a piece I'd grab them. You could easily sell them for more an get some of you money back. Be sure to keep one for yourself!!!
