One of the advantages to rarely finishing a kit is that you always get to make progress on something.
I dug this kit from the stash, and scratched my head as to why I hadn't ever finished it. OK, time to fix it. Here are pix of my 109 E-3 in Spanish markings from the spring of '39. Plain 71/65 finish, let's hope weathering breathes a little life into it.
Tamiya kit, so all errors are mine.
The dark stripes are gloss under the markings - it'll all blend in once it's been overcoated.

This and three others will be receiving the gloss treatment next to seal markings, and then it's on to the weathering.
