I believe the way it works is you get a notice about a personal email to you actual email account about a message waiting for you in the forum...then when you go to the forum and look at the top of the page for the menu option you will see "My Messages" as a selection then it will take you to the message sent. This would be similar to the way ARC works.

The date change has only been PM'ed. Seems that is not 100% either.

Yes, I got a notice of a personal message but no direct email. Both for the change of date to the 14th and another for the Monday dinner meeting.
