For what it's worth, Hobby Lobby also carries some Vallejo Model Color paints. I've purchased several colors there. It does brush paint pretty well.

Update: Hangar 18 is still in business. They have good selections of Vallejo, Vallejo Air, Tamiya, and Citadel paints. I was pleasantly surprised at how well Vallejo brushes on! I'll still use Mr Color, Xtracolor, & occasionally Model Master for airbrushing, but I think I've found my new brush-painting paint.

Thanks, Matt! I thought Hangar 18 had gone out of business. I'll be in that part of Cary this morning and will stop by and see what they have.

Ryan, thanks for the link. I've never heard of Scalehobbyist. They do seem to have good prices.

Raleigh Hobbies has Tamiya and Model Master. I can't recall the exact mix of MM Enamel and Acrylic, but I think they have some of both.

Hanger 18 in Cary has Tamiya, Vallejo Model Air (and some of the brush paint Vallejo lines), and the Citadel miniature paints.

Nicks Trains, just north of Crabtree off 70/Glenwood, has Model Master Enamel. (Maybe Tamiya? I can't recall for sure)

Hobbytown USA in Fayetteville has the best selection of all the brands under one roof in our area.

Also, Hayes has Tamiya and some Model Master (and a lot of sets from Vallejo, AK, Hataka, and more interesting one offs, but not the full lines of single bottles)

Hope that helps!

I think Scalehobbyist has better pricing for most items then SB. Granted the shipping is a little slower then SB, like a day or two.

Does anyone know what brands of paint Raleigh Hobbies stocks? I'm debating whether it's worth a drive clear across town or just order from Sprue Bros. The problem is, if I order from Sprue Bros, there's a very good chance I'll end up ordering a lot of other stuff besides just paint.

Thanks,
Ben
