Hey Mike. The Prowler is going well. I am about to turn the corner on this model. Hopefully by Saturday I can start painting.

I didn't say he was my son and I didn't say he was a naval aviator. he Was but now flies for American and im very proud of him.  who is Boltgun88 anyway?

if your interested in building the monogram 1/48 kit and have acouple of spare tomcat kits going unbuilt , the seats are the same and will dress up a sparse interior. I did this with the one I built for my son-in-law, a prowler driver.

funny I am building the Revell/Monogram 1/48 Prowler right now. When I have the time I will post some pics. The kit is just okay. Had a big problem with the arrestor hook! Like you I do like this airplane. I hear the Intruder is going to be re relased in the fall.

1/48 Monogram kit is reissued, resin is also out there to fix a number of issues.

1/72 Hasagawa kit, there is resin cockpit.

For me unless you want to spend a small fortune on resin upgrades, I would do the 1/72 kit. It can be had for $10 bucks. 4 resin seat around $10 also. Woflpack resin makes a wingfold if needed. I would stay away from the Golden Dragon/Super Bug pit.

Having been away from the hobby for awhile - advice is requested.

For those of you that are Prowler whores like me - what is the best bang out there for my buck?


I have built the MPC 1/32 and the Hasegawa 1/72 kits back in the day.

Please give me your thoughts and opinions on what is out there right now.
