Thanks. Old school is right. In Baumholder during the mid 80's we were using our own schemes. The light sand color from the earlier MERDC was used only for identification panels (octogons, circles, triangles) and the bumper numbers so the black stencils would show up. The only gear painted in the 3 tone NATO scheme at the time were the brand new stuff from the states and the West German vehicles. I replaced the headlights since I took the pics with ones 2 sizes smaller. Looks much more the part.

Great job Jon. I really like the camo scheme. Old school.

Awesome, like the John Wayne driver.  ;)

I finished the M561 today and as I was taking pics noticed I forgot to finish the side view mirrors....doh! Anyway, fun build. Tamiya. "Shamma Goat" from HHC 2/68 Armor in Baumholder, West Germany, 1986. Silver Lions Sir!

Added all the gear from my spare parts box in the cargo bed, camo net bag on the engine deck, diesel can on the fender, "whoopee" light, webgear on the driver, m16 and protective mask on the passenger seat, and a pack of smokes on the dash. Airbrushed with Valejo and pin ink washes. Bumper numbers are from Archer.
