fantastic kits! ....you can tell those engineers at Monogram had a real passion for their work, am I right?

Another beautifully engineered kit from the early days of Monogram, this is the 1/25 Packard Boat Tail Speedster.

Body is painted with Tamiya Camel Yellow, clear-coated and polished up to the high gloss finish that Packard was known for. Gloss Black for the fenders, running boards and rolling chassis, and the whitewalls were painted Racing White, then dull-coated for a realistic finish.

Engine block is Tamiya Field Gray with clear coat. Cloth-jacket ignition wires were used in 1930, but I haven't found a way to replicate those in this scale,
since the cloth usually had a color pattern weaved into it.

This one will soon have more company in the display -- I'm in the planning stages for a '32 Deusenberg and a '31 Cadillac Roadster.......stay tuned.
