Ron,I can be head armor judge at our show in May if you don't have anybody yet to fill that position.

Hey Chuck, Sure bring it up at the meeting on Sunday. We could go over qualifications pretty easily.

Ron, sine we are in a similar situation for our own show, can we talk about qualifications to be a judge on Sunday?

Hi Ron.
This should be my last installment from ODO central. Please read it and if you or someone inside Eagle Sq. can help with this request it would be mostly appreciated. Otherwise...

Chazz here writing about our up coming ODO show, and a need we have that is important to its success.

Specifically, I am asking for your club's help in the recruitment of judges for the 2016 ODO. Last year we had 60+ judges, which was a fantastic, 50% increase over 2014. This year we are trying to recruit 70 judges. As noted below, the ODO is judging "600+" models , and that requires a lot of work.

Because of this huge demand, IPMS Richmond is obliged to show our guests that we are doing everything possible to run a timely program, by having an adequate number of judges, improved time management of the judging process, and award ceremony which hopefully leads to everyone getting back on the road before sunset.

This is the only portion of the show where we ask for outside help. Otherwise, IPMS Richmond will do the rest. We do not mind providing the spacious 30,000 sq.ft. hall, 145 vendor tables to shop from, 200 plus raffle kits, and good awards, All we need is just a little push from our neighbors to get the ODO over the top into one of the best programs that any modeler would want to be associated with on the east coast.

So, if someone within your club can just work this concern, and just let me know how many judges you are expecting to bring, possible names and what may be their strengths, I can start projecting and building the judging teams in advance of the 27th.

Thank you one and all for your consideration, and hopeful support of this modest request.

With warm regards,
Chazz Klanian

P.s On a completely different note, in conversation with management of the facility, I remain hopeful that there will not be a repeat of what happened last year with the food vendor.
