2017 Club Officer Election Results and December Meeting Wrapup

Congrats to the new and big thanks to the old.

Eagle Squadron held our December 2016 meeting. Included in the meeting were the following activities:

•   Election of officers for 2017
•   Vote for Most Improved Modeler
•   Year-end show-and-tell of models completed in 2016
•   Annual barbeque feast

Congratulations to the following elected officers for 2017:

•   President: Matt Cottrell
•   Vice President: Dave Shaw
•   Treasurer: Larry Mason
•   Chapter Contact: Lee Griffin

Unelected officers for 2016 are:

•   Information Officer: Stephanie Cottrell
•   Facebook coordinator: Chuck Morford

The Most Improved Modeler for 2016 is Bob Bradford. Bob conducted a very informative seminar earlier in the year on fabricating and using alignment jigs for building and rigging biplanes. Bob also completed a very nice 1/144 Constellation using aluminum foil, and he is planning a seminar for 2017 on his aluminum foil technique. Congrats to Bob, and thanks to him for sharing his useful techniques.

A big "Thank You" to last year's officers who are stepping down:

•   Ron Verburg (2016 President)
•   Steve Payne (2016 Vice-President)
•   Matt Cottrell (2016 Treasurer and 2017 President)

And as always, a big "Thank You" to Clif Hinton for taking his valuable time to host our meetings at the college.

Eagle Squadron goes into 2017 a healthy and viable club with a contest tentatively planned for fall of 2017.
