Is IPMS usually very slow to respond to a membership application?

Considering she replied on a Sunday, and followed up with an email later with my IPMS number color me impressed!

Good news! They are all volunteers so some times it takes a little while.

Update - I emailed the membership person and turns out she was on vacation. Said my card would be mailed out tomorrow.

I applied online with my debit card the night of our last meeting. To date have heard nothing and do not see the charge on my debit card. Is this normal? I did get a thank you for paying email almost immediately but no further correspondence such as my IPMS Member number.
