Not only did I wrestle the Pacific Coast Models Spitfire IXc kit into submission, but I bought another one that included the Cammet Models resin conversion to make a bubbletop XVI.  I have no regrets, though.  If Tamiya really is going to make a IX in 1/32 scale, then all the large scale modelers in the world benefit.  I also wonder if this is the start of a renewed effort by Tamiya to make prop planes in 1/32.  Previously, only the A6M2 and 5 were released by them -- everything else has been a jet.  We might get a definitive F4U.  Or finally a decent P-51D.  We shall see...

I see where Tamiya has announced a 1/32 Spitfire Mk.IX. Hey Lee, didn't you just finish beating a limited run Mk.IX into submission?   ;)

Never fails, does it?
