In other V-22 news, the Navy selected the CMV-22 for COD role. It will have a C-2 greyhound paint scheme.

We charge our electric car at Fred Anderson Nissan on Glenwood (next to the Angus Barn) fairly often, and it's always a good spot to see the aircraft coming and going from RDU. Last Tuesday we got lucky and saw a V-22 Osprey coming in for a landing. The really interesting part is that it was actually a Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force V-22B Block C! I was very surprised when I saw the Hinomaru roundel! Turns out they are training and flying out of New River MCAS with the USMC Ospreys. It's a nice color scheme, an intermediate blue over white. Anyway, keep watching the skies and you might catch one around RDU!
