I was contacted by an individual who has a family heirloom, in the form of a wooden ship model, looking for a home. This person lives in north Raleigh. Below are details from the email I received:

------------------

"I have inherited a model of a sailing ship from my great-grandfather and I am trying to find it a home.

It is approximately 15" wide by 25" long by 25" high and probably close to 75 years old.  It is made out of wood by hand from scratch. I know there is some damage to the masts and rigging due to age and transport.  If someone in the club is willing to take it on as a challenge project or to learn how to build or repair wooden models I would have no problem donating it to the club."

I have included a couple of photos of the model. If you are interested, please let me know and I will connect you.

Thanks,
