Thanks for the comments. When I moved here, I probably had 50 more kits: non-Porsche sports and race cars, '60s/'70s road cars, military jets and helicopters, a couple of those Imai cargo ships ... quite the smattering. I've also got a whole flock of 1/43 diecasts, mostly Porsche and Ferrari race cars.

One kit that's not pictured is a Nichimo 1/20 Cessna 172. This kit has 67,439,821 parts. The (4) Lycoming engine cylinders are built up with photoetched metal plates to accurately depict the cooling fins. From time to time, I think about liquidating it. I've seen them go on FleaBay for a few hundred Freedom Bucks.

Nice collection! You have very good taste in race cars and flyin' machines!

Nice looking setup for a small collection. 🙂

Nice set-up. I live in Durham, so maybe I'll stop by some day.

Greetings:

Someone at the meeting Sunday asked about my kit collection. Here's what's in stock right now ... well, most of it. Some of these kits have been lugged around for 35 years (the Testors SR-71 and U-2, for instance) and some are pretty recent (the AFV U-2s).

This is my work space in our workshop. Jennifer has the other half. We rent a small commercial space close to our house. We both work at home, so it's good to have a place to get away from "the office" to mess around with hobbies, smoke cigars and drink Scotch.

If you're ever in/around RTP, ping me and stop by the shop.

Ciao,
Philbert
