Thanks Bill, that is in our lessons learned. The tables did get somewhat crowded so it made judging harder.

Thanks to all in ES for putting on another great show. One thing I think we should do next year is add at least one maybe two tables to the 1/48 scale prop category. Moving all those models around makes it so hard to judge and it is more time consuming. That may may streamline the process. But a great show indeed.

Thanks, Woody, I appreciate the comments.  We recorded some Lessons Learned and will implement them at future events.  I also want to thank Stan Pearce, who helped immensely in the struggle to keep up with the aircraft splits.  Also, Clyde, Chip Jean, and Bill Brickhouse for reassembling their judging teams to go back out when we realized that several major categories had been overlooked.

Hello, Eagle Squadron. I'm sorry that I missed the contest. I'm still recovering from sinus surgery and can tell from the gallery pics how accurate Woody's observation is. I'm just now able to work an 8 hour day and hope to be ready for Fayetteville in November. I know that all of you put in the extra effort & know it was worth it. I look forward to seeing you guys at the next meeting. RDUCON 2010 will be hear before we know it! CONGRATULATIONS !

Guys:  All in all, I think it was a nice show.  We have a few things to rectify, which we will try to do by next year.  I guess what needs attention is the judging, and I'll take responsibility for the glitches this year.  As it turned out, during all the confusion during the briefing, we omitted 3 categories. Thank goodness Lee and I noticed it, and we did judge them.  It extended the judging about a 1/2 hour, but as Tony said the awards went nicely.    Again, this year, the models on the tables are unbelievable, which leads to it taking extra time to try to get it right.  They are so good that there's very little difference between the first 3 in any category.  I was watching some lads judging out of the box and the 4 planes they were considering were all 1st place planes.  How do you judge that?  Just my observation.  Had a ball, and want to thank everyone that judged, particularly Lee Kolosna, who helped me immeasurably.  Hope everybody had a good time.  Regards, Woody G.
