Last Month's Meeting Highlights

We had our annual holiday meeting, highlighted by dozens of beautiful models, the always entertaining gift exchange (no Monogram F-14s were spotted --- a curiosity), and excellent food from Smithfield Chicken and Barbecue provided to the members by the club as a way to say thanks for all the hard work on RDUCON in the past year.

Haywood Griffin Most Improved Modeler Award

Congratulations to Ronnie Murray, who was given this prestigious award for such tremendous innovation and creativity in his models this past year.  Ronnie was awarded a Hasegawa 1/32 scale Ki 84 kit which we hope to see built sometime soon.  If he does, it will be the first time in club history that a MIM award winner has actually gotten around to building the kit that they won!

Tuskegee Airmen P-51 Mustang Project

Our friend Hawk Hunter has requested a 1/32 scale P-51B Mustang to be built and proudly displayed by the local Tuskegee Airmen chapter.  Ronnie Murray is organizing a group build of the old Revell kit.  Please consider volunteering your time for this worthwhile endeavor.

Dues aren't due!

Owing to the financial health of the club, member dues will be waived in 2010.  Is this great or what?
