Hello, Ronnie  Count me IN! I'll bring my own ear plugs. I'm re doing A/C 88-1687 "Mad Duck IV" of the Rocketeers. Maybe they'll actually let us do some rivet counting! I would love to ride down & back & will gladly help with gas. Way to go, Ronnie!  Pleas give us an idea of our "Launch Time" from Raleigh. Thanks again.

Okay guys, two weeks from today is our day at Seymour Johnson AFB.  It would be good if I could hear from those of you that are interested very soon so I can pass the info to my contact person.   If you built one of the F-15 models and would like to donate it to the base I"ll be glad to deliver it even if you can't attend.

I was told the pilot usually flies around 9:00 so considering time to travel, park, get processed through security and all that it would be best to get an early start.

What time would we need to be down there?

Col. Teel said there was no limit as too how many people we could bring on base.   I was a bit surprised to hear that but either way thats what he said.   I spoke to "Hawk" and he wants to go also.  On top of that he knows a man on the base named "Chief" that is also with the 916 Air Refueling Wing and might be able to help with the tour.

I'd like to go. I'll have my Tamiya F-15 ready, regardless of whether or not I can make it.

Col. Scott Teel contacted me today and apologized for the long delay in getting back to me.   He said the long awaited opportunity for our model group to have a the tour is nearly upon us.  He proposed May 10th which is a Monday.   Hopefully several members of the model club will want to participate, especially those that completed the models that were intended to be on permanent display at the fighter squadron headquarters.  We are encouraged to bring the models and award them to the demo team as well as other pilots that should be present that day.   It would be good if everyone interested would let me know if that date is suitable or not.  That date might be rescheduled if most of opt for a different day for that same week.  I recommend that we proceed with this as quickly as possible.  Most of you will remember that it was nearly two years ago when we initially tried to make this a reality.
