If it's anything like Rock Band, Little Big Planet, etc., you can probably find the same info online with a little Googling.

I echo what Lee and Ryan have said.  My son had the Pokedex, it's just stats for all the Pokemon and what they can evolve into.

Not really a cheat guide at all.

Nintendo characters and games are exclusive to the Wii and GameBoy.

My kids were (are) heavily into video games and the guides that you can buy for just about every game are less cheater books than

1.  A way to get more money out of parents
2.  Provide information that can't necessarily be figured out on your own.  Not cheating per se, but little secrets on strategy and listing of hidden items inside the game
3.  Fairly harmless, overall

My grandson, Josh, wants me to buy him a book called Pokemon Pokedex (I think I got that right). It sounds to me like what we used to call a "cheater" book, which I would not be inclined to buy. Josh insists it is not, and it is the only way to take advantage of certain game features. Does anyone here have a read on current games and systems and can tell me if Josh is right, or if it is indeed a "cheater" book? I think this is for Playstation, but it might be for Wii.

My kids are/where into Pokeman at one time. IIRC the Pokedex is just a list of the characters and pluses/minus. Not really a cheaters book, but you could use that info to your advantage. Think of it as having a book of baseball player stats, knowing what someone has done in past would be helpful in certain situations. This is what IIRC for the card playing stuff, the computer games maybe different. YMMV.
