Thanks, Bill!  Testors Acryl 74 and 75.  The underside is Polly Scale 76.  The painted out crosses on the wings and fuselage were done with Testor Acryl Dark Ghost Gray FS36320, which is about as close a match as I could find to the Italian color  Grigio Azzurro Chiaro 36307.

Vey sharp looking 109 Lee. The model looks fantastic. Is that RLM 74/75? What paint did you use for the finish? Very nice.

Ronnie Murray

Hey Lee, I have to admit I don't like 109's but the paint scheme on yours is so rare that its refreshing to see.  The other good point is after many years of plinking around with it you've completed another project, I always get a real charge from doing that.

Good catch.  The decals (from Sky Models, in Italy) only go one way with the hooks to the left.  All the profiles show the hooks going right on the starboard wing.  So either somebody at Sky Models made a huge goof, or the profiles are all universally wrong.  I suspect that someone at Sky monumentally messed up.

That makes senses but they must have gotten a different artist for the 1/48 sheet cause they appear to be correct on my sheet. Still doesn't take away from a very nice build.

Great looking plane.

Are we sure about the upper side right wing markings? I want to say someone said at the last meeting the hook always goes on the outside based on a 1/48 kit brought in.
