Well, we could tie it into our club's Eagle Squadron roots:

The RAF Eagle Squadrons (Spitfires, Hurricanes)
4th Fighter Group (now 4th Wing)

To make it more inclusive for subjects other than aircraft, we could do a NC military base theme:

Fort Bragg (82nd Airborne, Delta Force)
Pope Air Force Base (various airlift and the 23rd Fighter Wing)
Cherry Point (2nd Expeditionary Group)

Historical:

Pearl Harbor (70 year anniversary)

And to make it open to non-military subjects:

Firsts (first anything -- first flight, breaking the sound barrier, first Richard Petty win, first Mustang made by Ford, etc.)
North Carolina (any subject related to the state -- National Guard, fire trucks, NASCAR cars, the above-mentioned military bases)

I'm looking for theme ideas for our next RDUCON set for a date in 2011. Let me know your ideas so we can select a good theme.
