Going to Oshkosh next week

Saw video & photos of the guy who bellied-in his FJ-4 Fury a year or two ago ran off the end of the runway and just about took out the F-16.

I heard hydraulic failure as well.  Supposedly he landed without flaps (because of the failure) and that is why he ran off the end of the runway (no brakes, either).  I figured that the flaps would be electrically operated, but check your before photos to see if the flaps were down.

Made it back from Oshkosh. I had a really good time and took about 3000 photos. I'll post the helicopters, jets (No F-4's), and P-40 photos as soon as I can sift through them. I paid the $$ to ride in the B-17 and the Ford Trimotor and have a large number of photos and video from both. I must say that the ride in the B-17 was well worth the $$. I also saw the ANG F-16 run off the end of the runway doing about 50 mph. He travelled about 100 yards before the nose gear collapsed ( I have before and after photos of this) and the nose cone was forced upwards in a cloud of dirt and smoke. The pilot made a hasty exit from the aircraft and ran a few 100 feet before stopping. I heard that he had experienced a hydraulics failure but I don't really know the cause. I also have good photos of the last flying Hell Diver and the Swordfish from Canada.

I"ll be traveling to the EAA convention in Oshkosh on Monday morning and returning Sunday the following weekend. Are there any requests for photos of any particular aircraft and etc? They will dedicate one days' airshow to Naval Aviation, not mention that FIFI will be there.
