     Sunday, June 10, 2012, 1:30 PM
Classroom 126A, Engineering Tech Building, Wake Technical Community College

Last Month's Meeting

Mike Carruthers did a nice demonstration on restoring panel lines, something of great interest to all modelers, no matter what their subject interest.

This Month's Meeting

Our summer schedule starts with an informal model build session.  There will be no formal agenda, so bring a model kit and some tools and sit down with your Eagle Squadron buddies for a couple of hours and use the time to cleanup some parts, or remove some masking, or gluing a few assemblies together.  Our formal meeting schedule resumes in September.

Club Build Projects

The club has two group projects underway:
Curt Bandle/Mike Mittenzwei build – completed models obtained from either Curt or Mike's collections are being presented for inspection at the September meeting.  These same models will be displayed at the Fayetteville contest in November as our group entry.
USO Black Tie Event – like last year, Jon Emery is coordinating the donation of models for both the silent auction and the service award given to one deserving member of each branch of the military at the USO gala event in October.  Jon is eliciting contributions for a Marine, Army, Navy, and Air Force subject, plus additional models to be auctioned away in a silent auction.  Please look in your collections and consider either contributing an already built model or starting a new one for this worthwhile cause.
