I was able to snap a few photos of the WTCC Library Display before setup for RDUCON on Friday.

I have a few others, including closeups; I'll eventually edit them and post them on the website homepage.

Outstanding, thanks the all the guys (Clif, Stephen, Matt and David) who put this together and to all the guys you were able to participate with a model.

The display setup at Wake Tech went well today.  I didn't think to take a picture after we setup the case, so if anyone wants to see it the library is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 9pm; Friday 7:30am to 5pm; Closed Sat & Sun.  The library is the next building up (towards the 401 end of Tech Dr.) from the meeting room building.  The case is just to the left as you enter through the main library entrance. If anyone goes past, feel free to take a picture and post it!  The librarians were very helpful, and also interested in what we had.  Thanks as well to Clif!

The display ended up with Lee's 1/32 Harrier, Steve's RIMPAC diorama, Jeff's Albatross(?) and Vietnam(?) jeep diorama, David's pickup truck and 38t(?) tank, Ron's Space Shuttle launch diorama and Redstone rocket, and my F-18E and Apollo LM & rover.  (Sorry I'm not 100% on exactly what all of the models were, hopefully I didn't miss any) We didn't have much horizontal area to display models, so we lined the vertical back of the display cabinet with some sprues, decals, and an instruction sheet.  It gives it a nice before/after vibe.  We also have our show poster displayed as well.

I can bring the Space Shuttle and the Redstone Rocket. I will meet them at Wake Tech.

Steve Payne wanted me to get this to everyone.  He and Cliff will be placing the models into the display case this Friday 3/21/14 at 1pm. He can use some more to fill the case.  So if you are interested, please reach out to him.  All topics and skill levels are welcome. We want as much variety as the case can hold.

Clif was able to secure us a display cabinet at the Wake Tech library to showcase our talents. If you have a model you like to be considered for the display, bring it to the March 16th meeting. These do not necessarily have to be completed models as showing the whole process can be just as interesting. We will be able to leaving them in the case til May.

While we do not have a theme for this display per say (something to think about for possible future displays), I think a wide diversity of subject matter is best to highlight the hobby.

We do have some size restrictions as the cabinet is 46"x15"x60" with two glass shelves that measure 23"x14".

The final decision on what will be displayed will be based on what is on hand at the March 16th meeting and how it fits inside in the cabinet with preference to showing the most models as possible visually pleasing.
