GC Laser does some of that.

I will think about the pallets. If I can get the material and time worked out it might be ok. Course that means less time for models.

Just don't limit yourself to pallets. There is also a need for boxes, trunks, packing crates etc. Authentic looking modern and WW2 crates for both Axis and Allies would fill a need. It won't be something you can retire from but should generate a nice steady small cash flow.

Interesting info on the catcher. I have seen lots of designs. I have gone with the simplest to start. The next one does wrap around at the ends out side of the tires. The deer around these parts are not that big.

Thanks on the pallet. Marginal photograph skills hide the flaws. The post sections are built with two slats glued together because that was the only material I had on hand.

I like the idea of marketing them but who would buy pallets?

Nice job on the scratch built moose catcher. Sometimes the sides where angled backwards to aid in tossing the moose off to the side of the road. Also as you see in the original photo that the front bumper of the truck has been cut off in front of either front wheel. This was done so that if the moose catcher bent backwards as the result of hitting a rather large one the bumper would also be bent backwards resulting in puncturing the front tires. With the bumpers cut off then this gives more room for the moose catcher to bend and not puncture the front tires.

Nice job on the pallet! You could market them?

Sure looks right to me.

Had some extra balsa wood laying around, another testbed project making a pallet.

now you have to build the rest of the rig in that scale   ;)

That is a tall order for me, to finish a kit. I will make a new one for my next truck.

Looks very sturdy, this is the first time I've heard of a moose catcher but it makes sense now.  If I were driving a big rib up north I'd want one for sure.  Yours looks the part for sure...now you have to build the rest of the rig in that scale   ;)

Added some mounting brackets.

A semi truck thread on M2 inspired this build last night.

The idea

I think it is 1/32 or close too it. The bottom bar is one piece, with the center slats punched out.

Thoughts/tips? second bar from the bottom should be below the side bar not on top oh well. I needed like 5 hands trying to hold it all together.

One day I may have something like this added to my VN780
