WOW - impressive there!  I'm not sure I could work in such a small scale

Bob,
Welcome aboard Bob, I think you'll find there are a number of us veterans here in the club.  It is a good bunch of guys that I can definitely say will appreciate your hobby.
My name is Steve, but I use the screen name of "Herk" due to my association with the C-130s of the Air Force.  I am the current club VP.  My main focus in building now are 1/700 scale so I can do dioramas without taking up the entire house. (See attached)  I am currently working on a US space program display - Mercury/Redstone (Alan Sheppard) to STS-135 (Atlantis, OV-104) in 1/200 scale.
Hope you will consider participating in the Salisbury show - from what you showed last night, you will make a good performance.
Regards,
Steve Payne, aka Herk

Hey Ryan - I served in the US Navy for 8 years in a fixed-wing airborne early warning squadron attached first to the carrier USS America, then after it's decommission, attached to the USS John C. Stennis. I started out in avionics, then got my qualifications in airframes, then in engines (Allison T56 Turboprops).
I tell ya, I miss the guys I served with, but I do still keep in touch with a few of them.

You should just spell your backwards to be different ..... boB.... yuck yuck yuck.

Welcome aboard Bob. Good to see another vet added to the fold. What branch/s and unit/s do you claim?

I think Ron is correct on the "Bob" count.

Ronv

I think we have 3 "Bob's" now so if you want to add a last initial to your "Bob" that would be good.
See at either the Dinner meeting or the next club meeting.

Hi Ron-

Thanks for introducing yourself - I'll plan to meet you in November. Matt has done everything for me - he responded to my email inquiry, explained the dues process,
he also set up the forum account for me right away so I can interact with you guys now, and yes- he has my email, and explained that I would be set up on your
club email list - maybe in the next day or two. I'm taking the grand tour of your site right now as we speak. I'm excited about the model club like a kid...
I just learned from Bill L. that there are 3 Bills in the club ---just curious, how many Bobs?  If I need to adjust my user name, let me know, cause right now I'm using
my first name only.
Thanks for checking in on me!

Hi Bob,
Its great that you found our site! Welcome to the club! You have some great looking models and I look forward to seeing them on November 15. The October meeting will be a visit to the North Carolina Battleship on October 18. We will also have a dinner meeting this Monday 05Oct at Tripps restaurant on Wade Avenue at 7pm. You are much welcome to attend! Does Matt have your email address so you can receive the club emails?

I'm the president (mostly because I put up the least amount of resistance when it came to election time) and I have been known to build just about anything.
