Guess I'll have to break out my '67 Firebird 400!

Well I used Bobs sand/polishing method on my GTO last night Bill and it works great! I am going to hit the car with a couple more coats of paint and see what happens. I will post a picture when I finish the goat!

Hey Bill -- this is a great reason for being a club member...so we can draw inspiration from one another!  I hope you will be at the Jan meeting this Sunday because
I'm giving a presentation that will include my process for auto painting with high-gloss finishes.

This is the 1/24 Tamiya CLK GTR car from the German racing team Warsteiner.

The engine and electronics wiring is complete - brakes will be wired last. The fit check was very good, with a little sanding here & there....
the carbon fiber had to be cut from my hand-made templates, therefore not a perfect fit, but tidied up with bronze acrylic in the gaps.
Decals and powder pigments will be next for the final details. on the body and chassis. Still have to mask and paint the glass.
Coming along pretty good though - no blunders yet......but there's still time!

Looks great Bob. After the last meeting I was so inspired by your cars I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a 67 GTO. I am going to give cars another shot. Its hit or miss with me. One time I got lucky and pulled off a decent paint job. Then the next model car I tried not so much. It ended up in the garbage!

As little 5 or 10 minutes up to 30 minutes. It all depends on you and what you would like to cover. Just go over how you build your car models from prepping to painting to applying decals. And I think everyone would appreciate the care you take.

Ron, I'm gonna try my best, but this will be my first presentation ever - so, keep that in mind.   How much time am I allowed again?

Ronv

I am really looking forward to your demonstration!
