Stock - so they are easily recognizable from the original SW series.
I'll post when they are done. Right now waiting for paint to cure.

Liking the build. Neat little R2 and R5 droids. You going stock colors on them or branching out?

Almost done... just need to detail X-Wing and the Astro-Mech droids then dirty the X-Wing up a little.  She's way too pretty right now!

I finished up my Rebel pilots this morning, and made some more progress on the X-Wing itself.

Since I finished the Tie Fighter, I thought I would keep rolling with the 1/72 Bandai X-Wing.  This is another excellently engineered Bandai kit that fits beautifully together.  Both kits give you decals and stickers for adding detail.

As I went through the build, I realized I needed to spent time detailing and the engine parts and 'what I'll describe' as after-burner cans, as well as various panels here and there.  As the build continues, I know there will be cockpit and pilot details to call out. I'm not studying film footage, but rather doing what I feel is needed.

Yes - The kit does come with your very own 1/72 scale R2-D2 Astro-Mech!

The Rebel craft are used and abused in the rebellion so I plan a 'heavy' wash on the over-all craft before its done.  I think of A-1 Skyraiders in Viet Nam when I look at the X-Wing.

I'll resume work as I can this week.  Both will be at the Feb. club meeting if I can make it.
