I have been going there for years to pick up paints. They have a large selection of Train Dry Transfers that I have used on armor before. They have some neat 1/87 resin armor and other cool stuff tucked away in their train stuff. Worth a look through their old, already built stuff that they bought from yard sales, etc.

After the discussion at this past Sunday's meeting about Nick's Trains near Oak Park off Glenwood Avenue, it just so happens that we needed to make a trip to the Bernina sewing store around the corner. I went by Nick's and saw that, yes, they do carry an assortment of plastic kits:

- Tamiya 1/48 armor (I counted about 13 kits!)
- Tamiya 1/35 figures
- Airfix 1/72 aircraft, including new releases
- Airfix figure sets
- A few Tamiya 1/72 and 1/48 aircraft
- Two Italeri 1/48 CH-47s
- Trumpeter 1/700 ships
- Two Pro Modeler 1/48 Ju-88A1 and a ProModeler Me-410
- A couple of Dragon 1/72 aircraft
- A couple of Cyberhobby 1/72 aircraft
- A couple of old Matchbox kits 1/72 aircraft: P-38 and B-26
- A couple of car kits: Revell + one Tamiya (forgot type)

And, as William and others noted, lots of paint: Tamiya in spray and bottles (small and large bottles), ModelMaster, Badger, Testors small bottles, Testors railroad colors, AND, some leftover PollyScale and Floquil colors.

Of course, they have all of the plastic and wood material for scratchbuilding, plus tubing, etc. Always useful.

And, wow, do they have a lot of train stuff in various gauges.

Definitely worth a visit if you're out that way.

I will give them some business when I need stuff.

Lee G.
