Guys: Ordered the B-24J from Sprue Brothers. Should be here tomorrow. It was $41.99 plus freight.  The Minicraft B-24 is $35.99 and doesn't compare to the Hasagawa kit.  We're going to have to look at the letters and ask Rudy some questions about his squadron number, tail number, etc.  BTW, the "bowtie" is not on the nose, but on the tail.  I haven't seen a picture of it, but I think it's black and white.  Hopefully, there's somebody in the club who can make bowtie decals. If Rudy doesn't know his tail number, we can use a generic one, but as sharp as he is I know that he knows what squadron he flew in.  There is a strong connection to the Tuskeegee Airmen with his squadron, and somebody has painted a picture of one of their planes being protected by Tuskeegee P51s. BTW, with the Tuskeegees escorting them, they never lost a bomber, and one that was about to crash, landing on an airfield in Italy and darned if it wasn't a Tuskeegee airfield.  The picture that the gentleman painted is going to be presented to the Tuskeegees and go in their place in Greensboro, so maybe when we present Rudy his B24, we should ask Hawk and some of the boys to join us.  Now to the B24 model; we are going to try to build this the way we used to with various people doing various things.  Here's what I have so far: Please see next MESSAGE labeled B-24J Build
