It is FINISHED!  If you were not at the club meeting today, you can see a picture of this beast over in 'Finished Models'

Ryan, this update is for you.  I got the weathering done today and thought I'd post a couple pics.

Bill, I see what your problem has been all along. your work area is just to dang neat. model is looking good.

Bill L.

OK - Back at it.  I got the turbine air exhaust gates discolored, fuselage decals all on and the surrounding invasion stripes all touched up along with the insignia blue touch up on the stars and bars.  That will dry over night and hopefully in the next day or so I can get a clear coat of future on. I'm gonna push to get this finished and off the bench by the next club meeting..... yeah I know ...you've heard that before.

Bill L.

I made some progress over the last day or so.  Now it's the last little "fiddly-bits" and some touch up, but this should be finished by the next club meeting..

....and that's ONE! (well almost)....

Great site.  Between that and the responses off HS and LSP I'm all set.

Thank you

Have you tried Prime Portal? They've probably got a P-47 walk around or two: http://www.primeportal.net/the_airstrip.htm

QUESTION:
Does anyone have a picture of the main landing gear of a P-47D they could send me??  I'd like to see how the break lines run down from the wheel well and where they terminate.

Couldn't find anything decent online.

Thanks
Bill L.

Awesome work so far! I can't wait to see it complete!

My solution: Such as it is.  These decals were originally designed for the Trumpeter 1/32 P-47D Razor back, not this Hasegawa kit.  SOOOO I really shouldn't be surprised when they don't fit right.

So bottom line: As long as you don't look at it directly from the bottom you can't see the 'problem'.

Anybody got a good picture of the wheel struts... thinking of adding a break line.

I swear, I'm about ready to pull out a big hammer and smash my problems away........  Time to walk away for today.  3 hrs later, cut, wet, place, tape to remove restart...

I can't get these #@$%A decals to line up.  I'm about ready to pull them all off and start over.  Need to walk away.
